Accepting Pension Advisory Committee Nominations

Dear Membership,

STUSAU now accepting nominations for 2 Pension Advisory Committee Representative

With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you, your family, and your co-workers. It can help you to reduce stress, make new friends, reach out to the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career.

We are all the union and our solidarity makes us strong. Please consider running for the following positions.  

The Pension Advisory Committee is made up of STU faculty, staff and administration. The role of the committee is to monitor the administration of the plan, make recommendations and educate the membership on the Plan. Currently there are:

  • 2 vacant positions.
  • Positions are a 2-year term beginning March 15, 2019.
  • Committee meets 4 times per year.

As per the Pension Advisory Committee Terms of Reference, positions will be determined through an election process.  Please complete the attached nomination form and forward it to Pauline McIntyre, pmcintyre@stu.ca. Positions will be voted in by secret ballot at the next General Meeting to be held in late February.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 15, 2019.
